In one line

A watercolour car combat game set in 1975: a dead man’s will, four billion in the pot and a continent of roads between two penniless heirs and the urn.

In a paragraph

Cornelius Vane, the richest man in the Federation of Valmora, recorded his will on a gramophone record. Four billion goes to the heir who drives the length of the country and makes the most noise on the way. Wade Kessler, the chauffeur, and Vee Lark, the fiancée who witnessed the will and was left only the dog, enter the race against the rest of the family. Rally Mortis is a story-driven car combat game painted in watercolour, with fully voiced scenes and a dry sense of humour. It is in pre-alpha; chapter one is in testing.

Features

  • Car carnage, in watercolour. Every frame sits on cold-press paper.
  • The Noise Registry. Noise is the currency of the will.
  • A family that would rather see you dead. Twin nephews with one alibi between them.
  • Nine provinces, one road. The Long Spine runs the length of Valmora: seaside resorts, a flooding canal town, jungle, salt desert, a dam, a neon bay, steelworks, mountains, a frozen lake and, at the very end, Endmost Isle.
  • Rescue the crew. Valmora is full of people the will forgot.
  • Fifty-fifty. Wade drives.
